Oslo, Norway – February 15th, 2005. EMG AS has recently installed their Control2Net based Energy Management solution in the first French building.
This is a the first pilot project in France, installed in a large sports-center. The first goal is to monitor energy consumption of the sports-center
to learn how energy is consumed in the building. Thereafter some actions will be performed to reduce energy consumption. Expected reduction is 15 - 30% as have been reached in most installations in Scandinavia.
This installation is the first installation using GPRS Internet connectivity to interface to the PowerBus hardware. This is a low cost "Mobile Internet Always On" connection. The pilot has been running now for one month with grate success.
EMG is already negotiating volume installations in France as the first European country outside Scandinavia. The EMG solution has proved to save 15-30% in Scandinavian buildings, including sports-centers.
The low cost web based EMG Energy Management Solution is becoming a success as the payback time of the solution is measured in months in most cases. Potential interest has been shown in other European countries. EMG is now preparing pilot installations in some of those.
